Meet the Chef:

Adrian Mendoza


Adrian Mendoza's culinary journey began in high school, where he discovered his passion for cooking and baking. This led him to pursue his studies in Culinary Arts, then gaining valuable experience in fine dining, pastry, and bakery roles across California and France. Adrian honed his skills under renowned chefs like Wolfgang Puck and Brian Malarkey, and even worked through the pandemic at Wayfarer Bread and Pastry. Now, as the executive pastry chef at The University Club, he's collaborated to bring Knead to life—a delightful bakery concept that’s already winning hearts at the Symphony Towers in downtown San Diego.
